I started this post several months ago but never posted since life has been hectic. Our family life is constantly changing and we wanted to do this blog to keep in touch with family members as they spread across the country. So today I'll just begin by sharing a few photos of our recent life. We just returned from a week long trip to Southern California where we went to San Diego and Anahiem. We visited Sea World, Old Town San Diego where we went to the Mormon Battalion Visiters center, which has been redone since the last time we were there and is a really nice experience. It means alot to us since one of my ancesters, William Fletcher Ewell, was a member of the Mormon Battalian. We also toured the USS Midway which is an aircraft carrier. It was really interesting although I started to get a little claustraphobic before we were finished. We then joined our daughter's family in Anahiem where we spent three days at Disneyland. The weather was perfect and we were able to do all the things we wanted to. We even had great seats for Fantasmic which is a first. Spash Mountain and Soaring Over California are our two favorite rides. Keith enjoyed Star Tours the most and I think he rode that five times. Once was enough for me as it made me sick. I can handle roller coasters but not motion rides.
We were really terrible a taking pitcures. This is of Keith and I on the tea cup ride. It was a nice trip and a good start to summer. We stopped in Cedar City on our way home to spend sometime with my parents. We cleaned out the flower beds and planted a few flowers among the perenials.
Father's day was a nice day. We began by going to church with the Deleeuw's as Bill was speaking in Sacrament meeting. We were able to sit with the grandsons and help Jessica while Bill was on the stand. Then Joseph went to sacrament meeting in Ashley's ward as she was speaking along with the other young women leaders. I stayed and went to church in our home ward with Keith as it was his first Sunday home. He has been called to be a helper with the Junior Primary as they have some very rambuncious children in there. It is good for him to have a calling. Four of our children and families came over in the afternoon for dinner. This is all of us relaxing in the backyard and enjoying the day.
The following morning our sixth grandchild was born. Audrey June Keyes arrived around 9:30 a.m. Both mother and baby are doing fine. We are so happy for the parents. Ashley and Tyler are going to be a great parents.
