Fourth of July

The beginning of the parade.
We were glad to have our pop up and a nice breeze. It was a hot day.
We had a great view on our little corner.
She did really well. The noise from the sirens didn't seem to bother her.
Keith was in charge of the root beer and ice cream.
I was really proud of this. I have never tried to make jello in a mold before.
Our feast consisted of baby backs, steak and hot dogs, baked beans, dutch oven potatoes, deviled eggs and of course corn on the cob.

  Sammy enjoying the day.
We put in a little sand box this spring for the grandkids. Audrey was always digging in the rocks.

Birthdays and Airshows

She loves Tinkerbell. Ashley drew the picture in the background.
Tyler cooking dinner.
Getting ready to blow out her candles.
Also Hill air force base had their airshow this year. We went to the fields by our house to watch the Thunderbirds

I was sitting on our roof to watch part of the show when I noticed the pine tree in our neighbors yard was full of different birds just hanging out.

Another Day at the Zoo

Since we have a season pass we took the Deleeuw's to the Zoo. Always a fun adventure.

The grandkids had a great time together.

Waiting for Joseph to bring our lunch.
They have some nice shady areas to eat
Woodchips are almost as fun as dirt to play in, aren't they?

help from the grandkids

Joseph participated in a fifty miler sponsored by Biker's Edge every  May.
The Deleeuw's made a surprise visit to Utah before their big move.
It was nice to have them here.
Life had been so busy we didn't get a chance to get the garden in, so we had the grandkids help us plant.
 They did an awesome job.
The garden is growing well. We have our first zucchini setting on.

Treehouse Children's musuem

The Treehouse Museum in Ogden is Awesome!
Christine and Jacob off to the rescue.
Audrey and Mollie not far behind.
There are lots of activities for the kids to do.

The kids had a great time.

Grilled Pizza

When Keith was visiting his friends Richard and Daria in Logan they made grilled pizza, so Keith introduced our family to grilled pizza. It is awesome and so fun to make.
Keith was the the master chef.
Jacob and Mollie enjoying their pizza.
everyone put on their favorite toppings and then Keith cooked them on the grill.

At the Zoo

The Hamakers were here in May so of course we had to go to the zoo.
It has been awhile since we have gone to the Hogle Zoo.
They have made lots of nice improvements to their exhibits but not as many animals.

They had three new lion cubs. So cute!
Of course, I had to get a picture of the wandering rooster.

 The carousal was the favorite.
 Mollie loves giraffes.
 Jacob is all about tigers.
Christine picked the lady bug; so dainty.
Our little adventurer. Could hardly keep up with her.
Enjoying lunch after seeing all the wonderful animals.
With my sweetheart!

Welcome to the family

Our ninth grandchild
Gave her mom challenges but she made it full term

Such a sweetheart (both of them)
