Weekend Hike

This weekend was just beautiful with temperatures in the high 40's and blue skies so Debra and I thought we would go snowshoeing. We thought that the Bonneville shoreline trail would be nice since the snow will be melting soon as the temperatures warm up and this may be the last chance that we get to do this trail on snow. We started at the Fernwood trail-head and headed south to Adam's Canyon and back (a 5-mile trip).
When we got to our start point, we noticed that the trail had been so well used that it was packed firm and we didn't need our snowshoes so we just hiked it in the snow. It was a lot harder than it looked since the snow was soft due to the warm temperatures and that made the hiking a bit more challenging than normal but still do-able. We had a lot of fun and always it was great to be outdoors in the sun.

With the warm temps, the snow is staring to melt so we took advantage of this and used the dry spot for a resting place.
