Camping Adventures

First off we celebrated Eric's birthday. I made a German Chocolate cake which is his favorite.
Ashley came up and we had another lunch together.
We hadn't had a chance to do any camping this summer and it was disappearing quickly, so Joseph took a couple of days and we went to the Uintas and camped at Mirror Lake.
We did some hiking while there. We took a trail that went to three lakes.
It is always beautiful in the mountains.

We took the canoe with us and Joseph did some fishing while I paddled us around the lake.
He had some good success and pulled in his limit. It was cold and stormy but we had an enjoyable time. Thank goodness for a trailer with a heater.
Keith hadn't been able to get away all summer, so we decided to go to Logan Canyon for Labor Day weekend. We were lucky and got a sight at Turner campground and then drove up to Tony's Grove one of our favorite places to fish.
Keith and I both got fishing licenses this round. We took the canoe out to the middle of the lake and had amazing luck. He had three poles in the water and every few minutes someone was hauling in a fish. We lost a couple but quit fishing when after we had more than our chain could hold.

We went over to Minatonka cave over by Bear Lake. It seemed that everyone had the same idea as it was very busy. We were lucky and didn't have to wait too long for our tour but we met a family from our neighborhood who had quite a wait.
This was a fun get away.
